Winnipeg Aero Space Products (WASP) is an independent, family-owned business. Formed in 1997 by Kevin, Susan, and Jonathan Matthews, the staff brings decades of technical and financial experience to the job with a solid history in the aviation marketplace.

In 2000, the business moved into a new facility to accommodate larger inventories, consignments, expanded module and engine activity, as well as a general increase in overall parts sales and exchanges.

WASP holds a Department of Transport Canada approval certificate (approval #91-97). The company is also an associate member of the Helicopter Association International (HAI) and an active member of both the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

Spiraling costs and economic downturns have resulted in higher direct operating costs for the light helicopter operator. As an independent product support company for the demanding and cost conscious aviation marketplace, WASP's mission is to help cut customer costs, reduce turnaround times at the repair and overhaul level, and decrease aircraft downtime.
